SUMMARY:

This research seeks to register violence against women as a form of violation of human rights, concerning the right to life, health and physical integrity. Having in the historical context a society rooted by patriarchy, machismo in which countless women are victims daily. In view of this, it starts from the following problem question: How can the creation of a Center for Specialized Information in support of women victims of violence as a service of the Municipal Public Library of Assaré, in the Unit of COMDIM and CREAS help the care for women and the prevention of violence? Its general objective is to develop a project to create a Specialized Information Center in support of women victims of violence in the COMDIM and CREAS Unit in the municipality of Assaré, Ceará. To achieve these objectives, the following specific objectives were outlined: a) to identify the informational needs of women victims of violence in the municipality of Assaré; b) Identify the training needs of the multidisciplinary team that assist women victims of violence in COMDIM E CREAS; c) Identify the level of knowledge on the subject at the Municipal Public Library of Assaré; d) Know and measure the articulation between COMDIM, CREAS and BPM of Assaré to make the proposal viable. As a methodological resource, the research is characterized as exploratory, descriptive and bibliographical. In addition to being bibliographic with a quantitative and qualitative approach. The instrument of data collection will be the semi-structured interview, it is a field research in which facts are observed with the objective of obtaining information and/or knowledge about a problem, for which an answer is sought, about a certain phenomenon. While the importance of this study is highlighted in a perspective of contributing to the formation of conscious readers on the subject, the main objective is to prevent violence, through qualified and disseminated information in the space of the public library, seeking to insert in this space the representation of women who need greater visibility in the various spheres of society. With the achievement of the objectives, a final product will be produced to outline a project for the creation of the Center for Specialized Information in Support of Women Victims of Violence. The idea of the Nucleus is to function as a welcoming and information space for women who seek COMDIM and CREAS in Assaré.
