SUMMARY:

This study proposes an info educational action for the training of elementary school teachers in Brazilian sign language (LIBRAS) for  inclusion of deaf students. To this end, it carries out exploratory-descriptive research, of a qualitative nature, on the scenario of educational inclusion of deaf students, with a particular interest in aspects involving teacher training in a municipal school in Juazeiro do Norte-CE. From a theoretical perspective, it establishes an interdisciplinary relationship between Library Science/Information Science and the Educational area, which converges on the idea of information mediation, which advocates teaching beyond cognitive aspects. On a practical level, it brings together various socio-cognitive dimensions of the informational inclusion of deaf students in formative and collaborative action for teacher training at the local level.
