The general objective aims to analyze the performance of reading agents in Assaré and create a support booklet. Specific objectives include: exploring how agents, in their role as executors of public policies, contribute to the formation of readers; describe the collaboration between the community and agents in the development of reading policies; identify common aspects that can improve mediation; and propose a booklet for libraries that supports actions aimed at training readers. The methodology adopted includes a descriptive, bibliographic and qualitative approach, with an integrative analysis of mediation practices and the impact of public policies. Data collection was carried out through open interviews with agents, with the aim of obtaining information about their experiences, perceptions and suggestions for improvements. Data analysis was carried out through transcription and qualitative analysis. The final product is a guide that will guide the development of reading activities and highlight the importance of reading in community formation. The results indicate that reading mediation, when integrated into community discourse by Reading Agents, is essential to promote significant advances in reading skills, connecting individuals and communities and aligning with public policies for social inclusion.
