It discusses the changes in the information services market and how entrepreneurship can contribute to the field in librarianship in the face of this new reality. Its general objective is to strengthen the entrepreneurial practices of librarians who provide information services in the Northeast Region. And as specific objectives: to understand the applicable aspects of entrepreneurship in information services companies; map information services companies within the library; identify the entrepreneurial practices of librarians working with information services in the Northeast Region; propose a business model in order to contribute to the skills and competencies of the enterprising librarian. It exposes in the methodological path the characterization of the techniques and stages of the research through the bibliographic contribution, resting on the exploratory and descriptive methods, similarly, we opted for the case study as a research strategy. It indicates as characterization of the object (entrepreneurial practices), the locus of the research (Northeast Region), the research subjects (autonomous librarians), the data collection instrument (questionnaire) and the evaluation pole (qualitative content analysis). It concludes with the partial discussions about the results achieved with the theoretical basis described and the determinations that are desired during the data collection, as to the professional performance of the entrepreneurial librarian in the context of information services.
