SUMMARY:

This qualification entitled – “The dimensions of Information Mediation applied in the curriculum of Music courses in Ceará: proposal for an integrated performance program” – deals with the relationships between the dimensions of Information Mediation and the curriculum of Music courses from the state of Ceará, which are the object of study in this research. The starting point of the present study is: how to apply the dimensions of Information Mediation in the context of Music teaching in the state of Ceará, aiming to build an integrated performance product? The general objective is: Investigate the Music courses in Ceará belonging to UFC – Fortaleza, UFC – Campus de Sobral, UFCA, and UECE, from a curricular perspective considering the contributions of Information Mediation in its dimensions: dialogical, aesthetic, formative, ethical and politics, aiming to propose an integrated academic performance program. The specific objectives are: a) discuss the curriculum of Music courses in Ceará. b) Establish possible relationships between the curriculum of Music courses and the dimensions of Information Mediation, and c) Understand the applicability of the dimensions of Information Mediation in the curriculum of Music courses in the state of Ceará. The methodology consists of the following training: qualitative, descriptive, bibliographical and documentary references. And so that we can structure the data analyses, we will constitute a documentary reality, supported through an approach taking the lattes CVs of the Professors of the object of study of this research. Classifying the structured content analysis into two types of categories, which are categories on two levels: the thematic level through the Information Mediation categories and their dimensions; dialogical, aesthetic, formative, ethical and political, secondly proposed through institutional plans which are the categories in which Music courses are involved: teaching, research, extension, event and intellectual production. We have as partial results, the certainty that the Music courses in the state of Ceará, present in their PPCs, potential for dialogues on the dimensions of Information Mediation, which in our thinking can be deepened. Based on a performance and training program integrated into the formative reality of the object of study of our research, which will be promoted alongside the courses, it is constructed, offered with the intention of being applied in the search for the completion of these degree courses in Music
