RESUMO:

This project aims to investigate the milestones of memory, through reports and records,
of the trajectory of the library science course at the Federal University of Cariri. To
achieve this objective, the following specific objectives were outlined: Collect
historical records and oral memories from the academic community of UFC / Cariri
and UFCA; Highlight the socioeconomic contributions of librarianship to the
development of the Cariri Region; Produce a dissertation as a product of recording the
memory of the course at Cariri Cearense. As a methodological resource, oral history
techniques will be adopted for conducting interviews and content analysis in the
identification of documentary records, since they constitute essential elements in the
functioning of institutions. However, the importance of institutional memory studies is
highlighted, considering institutional documents and their subjects. The interviews will
be conducted with teachers, students and alumni, in person when possible, or by digital
means. The research will support the memorial records of the UFCA Library Science
course, through speeches, photos, newspaper clippings and documents that make up the
course of the UFCA course. It is expected that the final product will contribute to the
course's memorial record highlighting the milestones and the subjects who write /
wrote this story.
