In contemporary society, Information and Communication Technologies are used as a basic tool for people's communication, with which individuals who are not connected, will be part of the digitally excluded society. With the theme: Digital inclusion of the elderly: mediation and information in the Municipal Public Library of Juazeiro do Norte Dr. Possidônio da Silva Well, this research presents as problematic the following question: how the Municipal Public Library of Juazeiro do Norte prepares for the insertion of your elderly community in information technologies? This research is justified academically, professionally and socially. Academically due to the fact that information is an interdisciplinary vehicle and must be processed and disseminated in a clear and objective way to society. Professionally, because regardless of their informational environment, the information professional must take charge of the forms of inclusion, through activities and actions that can be made available inside the library and in its surroundings. Socially, due to the concern to keep subjects digitally included and connected beyond their local context, especially for minorities, this being a matter of democratizing access to information and technologies. It aims to analyze the process of digital inclusion and independence in the use of technologies of the elderly group through a questionnaire. Having as specific objectives: Reflect on the role of the public library in the information society, with a specific look under the digital inclusion to the public of the elderly; Describe the motivations to include themselves digitally, and later, the daily changes perceived with the knowledge acquired through the use of technologies; Identify the profile of the elderly user of the Municipal Public Library of Juazeiro do Norte regarding the use of information and communication technologies; Investigate how the elderly understand and expose the experience of digital inclusion. Providing as hypotheses it can be said that the application of Digital Inclusion courses to your community, with virtual access, contributes effectively to digital inclusion; and the referenced Library has the potential to expand service in the digital context to the elderly public in its user community. The Final Product presented is a booklet entitled 'Basic Computer Course and Social Networks for the Elderly', specifically aimed at the public of the elderly, with diagramming of the didactic material composed of texts with letters of specific sizes for this audience and images, so that the it can be used in other informational spaces.
