Internships are part of the curricula of all higher education courses, giving students their first contact with the world of work and characterizing them as an important stage in their professional training. In Brazil, the activity was standardized in 2008, through the sanctioning of Law 11788/2008, which designates procedures and competencies, as well as aiming to protect undergraduates in the execution of practical activities, while they are introduced to the challenges of the world of work. As a result, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) need to provide the conditions for students to be inserted into the various fields of professional activity, which directly involves improving procedural flows using digital technologies. The Internship and Professional Development Coordination Office at the Federal University of Cariri (UFCA) is responsible for coordinating academic activity within the institution, working with students, teachers and partner companies. Considering that the institution does not currently have a tool for document management of internship agreements, the general aim of this study was to develop an administrative tool to facilitate the registration and document flow of compulsory and non-compulsory internships at UFCA. The case study, characterized as descriptive, will use documentary research and the application of questionnaires, followed by data processing and statistical analysis. As a product, the aim is to present a proposal for intervention by presenting a system that could be used by the UFCA's Internship and Professional Development Coordination, with the aim of optimizing the sector's activities and the users' experience, contributing to the effectiveness of University Management within the institution.
