RESUMO:

This paper aims to address the demonstration of Pythagorean theorem and its Generaliza-
tion, as well as the equivalence between areas of at gures, in a geometric shape through
dissections (puzzles). The proposal is to present a didactic and ludic material, with ideas
of activities that provide the teacher to work such demonstrations in the classroom.
