RESUMO:

Seeking better methods for explaining or understanding important subjects developed in the classroom, this paper proposes to present and stimulate the use of simple, visual proofs or even formal demonstrations of results and mathematical formulas in the scope of elementary education and medium. Since understanding from visualization is more meaningful, and encourages students to seek and acquire knowledge, we present some visual evidence of some basic results, sometimes accompanied by algebraic arguments to explain the illustrations. Next, we highlight some geometric representations of numerical sums and we present some geometric demonstrations of irrationality. In order to enrich such approaches and to involve the reader in the search for other results, in each chapter we propose some exercises whose solution is similar to previous discussions. The results presented in this work were extracted or inspired mainly in [2] and [6].
