RESUMO:

This work aims to show the importance and applicability of financial mathematics in the
daily life of people. For this, we started the study with some considerations about the
origin and evolution of money and the importance of financial mathematics, then we did
a study on the prerequisite of financial mathematics and, in sequence, we presented the
specific concepts of this study area. Subsequently a field research was done in some of the
various sectors of applicability of financial mathematics such as banks, financial institutions,
commercial establishments. In addition, we separate some issues of the ENEM, of
entrance exams and public competitions in which financial mathematics is present. The
results of this research shows the application of financial mathematics in different situations.
