SUMMARY:

In this work, we will explore a computational method for minimizing quadratic functions. We will use the Java programming language to implement the proposed algorithm. An application of the method using the GeoGebra software will also be presented. Our goal is to introduce fundamental programming principles in Basic Education, emphasizing the relevance of mathematics in the digital age, offering students a practical and tangible introduction to the world of programming, preparing them for future challenges and opportunities in the field of applied mathematics and computing. This work is derived from an article previously submitted by Márcio José Queiroz Claudino, the principal author, Professor Dr. Valdinês Leite de Sousa Júnior, and Professor Dr. Érica Boizan Batista. The article presents a computational method that integrates the teaching of mathematics and programming, demonstrating the practical application of mathematical concepts. The method will be implemented using the Java programming language and the dynamic mathematics software GeoGebra.
