MATHEMATICS THROUGH TACT: USING THE GEOGEBRA AND MONET SOFTWARE IN THE CREATION OF TACTILE
CONTENT FOR TEACHING MATHEMATICS A PEOPLE WITH VISUAL DISABILITIES
Visual impairment. Teaching and learning of mathematics. GeoGebra and
Monet software. affine function.
The present work aims to propose and present to the reader, especially to the mathematics
teacher, an important pedagogical alternative for teaching the linear function to visually
impaired people. The methodology consists of constructing, in high relief, the lecture
notes of the subject to be taught by the teacher, including images and graphs, and
using the potential of GeoGebra and Monet software. The objective of the proposal is
to allow the student to follow what is being taught by the teacher in the classroom. As
an educational product of this work, specific lecture notes for the linear function will be
created. In addition to presenting the software and the proposal, we will also address
inclusive education, visual impairment, and the teaching of mathematics to people with
visual impairments throughout the chapters.
